ISLA PUERCOS

Puercos Island, located in the Gulf of Panama in Las Perlas Archipelago, Balboa district, Province of Panama, three nautical miles southeast of Isla del Rey. Aeronautical coordinates are 78° 48.5 minutes west & 8° 21.5 minutes north.

The island boasts 12 beaches; two of them are 200 meters. There is abundant tropical vegetation and lots of harvestable tropical hardwoods. It is an excellent location for fishing as well as eco-tourism development. The island is totally covered in virgin and secondary rainforest with older trees reaching as high as 25 meters. Elevations on the island reach up to 100 meters.
