Isla Los Uveros is located in the Caribbean Sea, near Colon. The island is next to the community of Maria Chiquita in the district of Portobelo, which used to be one of the wealthiest places on earth until Spanish pirates arrived to transport the gold and silver taken from indigenous people back to Europe.
This area certainly has a history. There is potential here for adventure tourism like fishing excursions or diving. The diving in this area is located in a great departure point to explore the shipwrecked galleons that were sunk during the conquest .
